Foam Suppression

Foam products consist of a wide variety of products and equipment. Amongst them its use in firefighting services is somewhat evident too. Foam suppression works to suppress fires by forming a constraining layer over the fuel and effectively cutting down oxygen supply. This results in evident combustion of the fire.

For fighting some common products available are firefighting foam concentrates, foam monitors, foam storage tanks/containers, foam system distribution and proportioning hardware.

Usually an industrial foam system consists of storage vessels containing foam concentrate. This foam concentrate remains in connection to the distribution system that is forever prepared to be used in cases of sudden fires.

A piping system is present that controls the associated distribution hardware and also monitors foam distribution of fire hazard and the amount of foam that is leaving the system.

Although foam technology is still somewhat limited, however, with the rapid development in the world, technology is the fastest evolving branch. There is a constant evolution in hazards and applications of various products. With that, foam suppression technology is also facing evolution to meet up with new challenges.

As every problem can be tackled through various solutions, it is therefore better to talk to fire engineers specializing in foam products. This could ensure you get the best solution to every problem you come across.

Components

– System Tanks

System Tanks house the foam concentrate. A wide variety of System Tanks ranging from vertical to horizontal, pre-piped, atmospheric, stainless steel, and foam pump skids are available.

– Propotioning Devices

They release the proper amount of concentrate into the water supply. These deivces are sized differently based on a range of flow rates and pressures, while minimizing pressure loss.

– Discharge Devices

Whether you need air aspirating, non-aspirating or water sprinkler nozzles compatable with foams, we have it all! We provide monitors, foam makers, hand line nozzles and everything in between.
